We returned to the Hyatt Regency Sydney for Connect in 2024 because it had been so successful in 23. Given the number of anticipated attendees, we grew the Keynote room into the full ballroom and moved the Expo area into the Maritime Ballroom next door.
This created some challenges for breakout space and for the Partner Summit we had to get creative with a custom printed hard wall backdrop that fit into the air wall location between two rooms, creating a backstage area for rear projection. The effect was fantastic though the room was still small for the number of attendees. Great problem to have!
We brought out the Radar display again and this time had someone guide attendees through the experience. I have to say, spinning a globe on a large touchscreen is fun.
Following the event, I extended my trip and took a train up to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. If you are in Sydney, I highly recommend this side trip.
